Here is a list of the supplies you will need to begin piano lessons.
I know trying to figure out which books and things to get can be tricky. If you want to go ahead and do the searching and buying on your own, I have included some links to the things I like. If you would like me to do the work for you, since I know exactly what I would like, you can pay a $30 materials fee ahead of time, and I will purchase it all for your student and have it ready for their first lesson.
-Spiral notebook for me to write out their weekly lesson assignments and any helps or notes.
-Piano books: I use the Bastien Piano Basics or Alfred Piano books. These come in sets for each level, and there is typically 4 books per set (Piano/Lesson, Technic, Theory, Performance/Recital). I will let you know which books to buy when we are setting up lessons. On occasion, we will add an extra book onto the 4 in the set, but that will be decided on each child's individual needs and ability.
-Flashcards. I really like these ones
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED STUDENTS:
-Piano books: As the skill level advances, the piano books will change and we will do more picking and choosing for books that are best for your child. Usually at this level, your child already has books they have been learning out of and we will work off those to continue moving forward.
